Krásná Lípa region (Krásnolipsko) also has a lot to offer tourists with disabilities

It was a hot summer day, but we accomplished more than 8 km long trail in Krásná Lípa. It was marked by the well-known Club of Czech Tourists. Did you know that their way of marking also caught the attention of tourist clubs in Brazil and not only that.

It was nice (and important) for us to see the wheelchair symbol on the tourist guide. We set off from Křinické náměstí in front of the House of the Bohemian Switzerland, where we had a workshop on the topic of barrier-free natural beauty and national parks not so long ago.

But back to the wheelchair friendly route in Krásná Lípa region.

Due to the elevation, it is better to start the circuit from the left in a clockwise direction. From the beginning, the route alternates between road and sidewalk. Be careful, in some places the sidewalk has a slightly steeper lateral slope. At one point we crossed the road, and in the next section the surface changed from asphalt to a paved but sometimes gravel road.

Not a bad drive, but it was more difficult with a manual wheelchair. Further on is actually a dirt road and part leads through the forest. We drove through ruts that were sometimes deeper. There may be puddles after rain.

On the way, we passed by a beautiful column of the Holy Trinity in the forest near Rybniště. Unfortunately, a few days after our visit, someone vandalized this sacred monument. Hopefully, this monument will soon be restored to its original state.

The trail ends on the way back to the town of Krásná Lípa. You will cross the train tracks  to Křinické náměstí in front of the House of the Bohemian Switzerland. The management of the city of Krásná Lípa was so kind and we were able to map the local cultural center and cinema. We presented our project to the deputy mayor of Krásná Lípa, Jana Drobečková, and to Mr. Václav Hieke from the Club of Czech Tourists.
