Liberec - the fifth largest city in the Czech Republic

Where to go?

Liberec Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden is the oldest in the Czech Republic, over 115 years. There are 9 greenhouses with various microclimates, with a total area of 1400 square meters. There are 13 different botanical topics presented - carnivorous plants, ferns, Australian flora, aquariums and terrariums, as well as outdoor exhibitions - the plants have a sub-mountain and humid climate.

The botanical garden area is barrier-free, and an elevator leads to the upper floor of the pavilion.

Zoo Liberec

Our oldest zoo. It breeds around 180 species of animals with a total number of more than 1,500 individuals.

The zoo is generally accessible, but hilly terrain must be taken into account. The lower part of the garden is friendlier. You will definitely do well to take an assistant with you or go to discover animals in a battery powered wheelchair.

A modern science center with a 3D planetarium and hundreds of original exhibits! A world of science and technology that will conquer you and won´t let you go. A world of stunning experiments and clever fun!

It offers programs for schools and the public.

Elevators and wavy sidewalks, barrier-free toilet on each floor, few exhibits unsuitable for wheelchairs.

When it's a nice day and you are thinking about a trip, go to Liberec. It is a nice town ... But most importantly - a short distance from here stands the dominant of northern Bohemia, the unique Ještěd.

We drove up close and were lucky to find a parking space ... it was quite crowded. The surface of the outdoor terrace where we arrived and from where we enjoyed the views of the setting sun is quite rocky. The stones are carved, but you have to be careful, the small front wheel of the wheelchair sometimes gets stuck.

Dinopark Liberec

The park is inside the OC Plaza, on three floors. In addition to many robotic and static models of dinosaurs, there are really many attractions in DinoPark for young and old. It includes a unique 4D cinema.
